Encinitas Community Library
540 Cornish Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024
With ongoing state water issues, many people have considered changing out their landscapes for more drought tolerant plantings. On Friday, March 26th, residents will have a great opportunity to explore how this can be done at the Water Conservation Expo at the Encinitas Community Library, 540 Cornish Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024. Speakers will include homeowners, who have been in the process of recreating their own home landscapes. Lots of resources and ideas will be shared and several vendors will be on hand to answer questions about plants, gardening, composting, irrigation and rainwater capture. The event is FREE to the public. It will be held from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM; it’s all a part of Water Awareness Week, co-sponsored by the Encinitas Library, San Dieguito Water District and the City of Encinitas Environmental Commission. We will close out Water Awareness Week with a talk by San Diego County Water Authority on the 11 billion dollar water bond that will come up for a vote in November.
For further details, please contact Felice at 760-633-2676. This event is part of Water Awareness Week, dedicated to educating and engaging the community in Water Conservation.
